Covenant Keepers is an open-enrollment charter school serving grades 6-8. We focus on preparing every child for high school and life beyond our doors. Our teachers are Highly Qualified as defined by the state of Arkansas meaning they are either licensed in the content area they teach, or they hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the content area. Our teachers hold high expectations for our students in regard to both academics and behavior. It is imperative that incoming teachers share this standard to maintain our desired school climate. Therefore, to meet the needs of our growing student population we are seeking enthusiastic teachers who are willing to do whatever it takes and are capable of exceeding standards pertaining to classroom management, parent communication, innovative lesson plans and teaching methods.

This is not a traditional school nor do we have traditional teaching positions. To be successful in a charter environment, teachers must be genuinely dedicated to the students and the mission of the school. They must be part of a team working toward the same goal in tandem with their colleagues. Although our teachers are encouraged to be creative in their lessons, pedagogy, and content, we do have a very structured environment, and protocol must be followed consistently. Additionally, a longer day and an extended calendar means that our kids work hard and our teachers work even harder.

  • Have a valid Arkansas teaching license or a reciprocal teaching license from another state; or hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the specific field for which you are applying.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Be available to begin contract year on July 21, 2016.
