Mission and Vision

The vision of Covenant Keepers is to help academically underserved students rise above their circumstances. As a result of a collaborative learning effort of faculty, staff, parents, students, and community members, students will strive for continual improvement and high school readiness.

Covenant Keepers’ mission is to change the trajectory of a student’s academic path through the development of higher-order thinking skills, peacemaking strategies, and leadership abilities within a culture of high expectations.

Only with a critical mass of college educated citizens can valuable and systemic change in our inner-city neighborhoods occur. CK will be giving hope to inner-city families who understand that education is the passport to a better tomorrow. More importantly, by combining rigorous academics with a spirit of civic duty and responsibility, CK College Preparatory Charter School students will return to their community as civic-minded intellectuals armed with a college degree and a desire to create positive social change.

Over time, CK will transform the educational expectations of the community in which it serves thus servicing as a national model for excellence in urban education.
